Good doctor 💖 I had a very bad experience with another dentist about two years ago, and ever since then I have severe anxiety and panic when I need dental treatment. I tried to explain what happened, but I don’t think I was understood. After my appointment, I felt uncomfortable with the way I was spoken to. I believe patients who are anxious need understanding, patience, and professionalism.

I’m sorry to be writing this because I have much respect and have been with Dr Black for many years. To find out through my surgeon that Dr Black recommended me to get a tooth extraction and I do have dental insurance. They took the time to search their database. The receptionist at Dr Black’s office did not when I insisted I did. Now in her defense my medical company messed up and could not find me under dental so I ended up paying outright for my appointment at Dr Blacks in November of 2025. Now that the surgeons office found my insurance I reached out to the receptionist advising her the name of my dental insurance in February 2026 wanting a refund on my visit. . I also asked her to send X-rays to my surgeon on the same date. I followed up with her in about a week and nothing was done about my insurance. There was no time she said. She needed me to call the dental insurance company and get more details. So I did. I called her back with the information. To add I had to call her twice to get the X-rays over to the surgeon. Now to find out with follow up call to the insurance company that they never received my claim and it’s been over 7 days. I call her back and she tells me

I was a patient of Dr Black for many years, he also saw my sons when they were young. My youngest son needed braces and other work which he referred me to an orthodontist and it worked out well. That was my only good experience. The person at the front desk was always problematic, the lady from years ago, I believe her name was Diane was the one and only decent (not good) front desk person. I needed a lot of work and Dr Black was cold and harsh with his prognosis of my teeth but I still moved forward and had him work on my mouth. As time when by I hated going to him, he knew I was afraid but he was rarely pleasant with me actually he was brutal sometimes. I knew I had to find another dentist, I stopped going. Shortly after COVID I had a bad toothache, he saw me at short notice, Dr. Black was so freaking rude to me!!! If I wasn't desperate at that moment I would have gotten out of character with this man. I was in terrible pain and he said some real BS to me. I kept my composure and left vowing never to return and I never did (my family was proud of me they know my tolerance for rudeness is very low). Dr Black is honest, caring and very good at what he does. Kim at the front desk watched my toddler while I got my teeth cleaned, she didn't have to do that, thanks Kim!! I stopped coming for a while but so happy I'm back!

I used to go here many years ago, lost insurance. This year finally got insurance back, my tooth was bugging me. Kim got me in within 3 days of calling, I told Dr.Black my plans of getting dentures and together we made a plan to get it done, as well as fill cavities. Dr.Black is AMAZING! He went above and beyond to make sure my teeth looked great. I couldn't have asked got a better dentist! He answered every and any question had whether it was silly or not.. bwsg dentist around hands down!! My teeth look amazing, snd im so glad to be able to smile again!!! Thank you Dr Black for giving me my smile back again! Will never go to any other dentist but Dr.Black!!!!
